Her husband suggests that she begin writing to a prisoner. She corresponds with a murderer who had killed his wife. She becomes very attracted to him through his letters, and begins an affair with him after he is released. Soon, they are plotting to kill her husband, but things do not go the way she had planned.

New on the shelf is the romantic suspense novel Cold As Ice, by Anne Stuart. This book is the follow-up to her novel Black Ice, featuring Peter Jensen, a supporting character in that book. Jensen, a member of a secretive "Committee", must strive to foils the plans of a billionaire (killing him if necessary) who plans to stage disasters in order to make a profit from them. His feelings for the billionaire's lawyer, though, complicate his efforts.

New Romantic Suspense Arrival: Nine Lives, by Sharon Sala

Just in is the new romantic suspense novel by Sharon Sala, Nine Lives. The protagonist, Cat Dupree, is a bounty hunter. Beautiful, but scarred physically and emotionally from a slashed throat as a child, she is not looking for romantic entanglements as she tries to solve the mystery of her best friend's murder. A fellow bounty-hunter is doing his best to change that, though.

If you enjoy this one, we also own a number of her other books. It also looks like Nine Lives will have a sequel in which Cat pursues the person who murdered her father when she was a child.
